Word FM Mission to Ecuador

Trip Description:

This summer, the team of listeners from Word FM will be working to build a community center and weekday home in Pujili. Many children in the mountain regions of Ecuador do not attend school regularly because it takes two hours to walk to school and then another two hours to walk home. With this building, many kids in this region who did not previously have the opportunity to regularly attend school will be able to because they will live at the home during the school week, and then go home on weekends.

One of the exciting parts of this trip is the opportunity to also work side by side with some of the kids from Jardin del Eden as we build the center. (Jardin de Edin is an orphanage that previos team have helped construct.) We would also spend time with the kids at Jardin del Eden and probably do Kid's Club activities, as well.

This is a great opportunity for individuals and groups to be involved in a truly life-changing project! Also included in the trip is an opportunity to worship with the local community, make home visits to see first-hand what life is like in Ecuador, as well as enjoy a day-off to take in the sites of Ecuador.
