KTIS Radio is partnering with World Servants to offer their listeners an opportunity to serve in the Dominican Republic side by side with three of their radio personalities, staff.

For 29 years, World Servants has facilitated and led customized mission trips for churches, Christian radio stations, businesses and families. These unique trips create an environment where participants meet each other, serve together, and return home to make an impact in their own communities. A mission experience is fertile ground for life transformation; both for your own life and those whom you encounter during the mission trip.

Serving the Community of San Cristobal, Dominican Republic

San Cristobal is a town of about 270,000 inhabitants, located near the Caribbean coast, about 20 miles from the capital city of Santo Domingo. San Cristobal was founded in the late 16th century.

We will be working alongside the community on a variety of projects to improve living conditions and open the door to share the love of Jesus.

We would love to have your friends and family join World Servants for this important life transforming opportunity. (We are asking that each participant be 18 to 80 years old.) While serving, you will be challenged to grow deeper in your faith and walk with Christ. God is using people like you to change lives! Together, with churches in the Dominican Republic, we have had the privilege of reaching out to those in need physically and spiritually in communities throughout the country.

The majority of the mission week will be spent on home renovations and helping with odds and ends at the Community Center. We also have opportunities to work with gardening projects in the local communities.

Our outreach will be with the children through Kid’s Club, and women’s ministry in nearby communities. Mid-week we will take a day to see some of the wonderful things that can be found in the Dominican Republic

The team will stay at the Community Center, which was built by previous World Servants’ teams and is located within the San Cristobal community. There will be bunks/mattresses. Showers stalls are located on the side of the building and will be refreshing!

Meals, prepared by local cooks, will have a flare of the Caribbean! The cooks are trained in safely preparing food for American teams—all food, including fruits and vegetables, is safe to eat and purified drinking water is provided. Most dinner dishes will consist of various authentic Dominican rice and chicken recipes, in addition to a wide variety of vegetable sides.
