World Servants Mission Statement
To mobilize a global network of people to impact the world through Jesus Christ by responding to physical and spiritual needs.
Ambassador Program Purpose
Mission does not end when a mission trip is over. The purpose of the Ambassador Program is twofold:
- To encourage you to share your story of mission and outreach.
- To partner with you as a World Servants representative in your community, school, church and workplace.
What does it mean to be an Ambassador for World Servants?
- You will commit for one year to be the "FACE of World Servants" in your community.
- You are an extension of the staff at World Servants. World Servants views this commitment seriously and expects appropriate follow through with your leadership.
- Facilitate at least 6 opportunities / year to tell your mission story and the mission opportunities available through World Servants.
- Look for opportunities to post/share information about World Servants, i.e. place flyers at churches, posters on community bulletin boards, attend community mission fairs, postings on electronic social networking sites, etc.
- Encourage others to participate on mission trips with World Servants.
- Recognition at future trips, in the World Servants newsletters and website about your participation in the Ambassador Program.
What support can you expect from World Servants?
- World Servants will honor your gift of time and generosity by enabling, equipping and empowering you to serve in this capacity.
- To honor your dedication and time given to support World Servants, the following incentives have been developed for you:
- For each Ambassador who fulfills the contract, World Servants will "host" them the cost of a domestic trip.
- For each Ambassador who fulfills the contract, and 25 Full Paying Participants sign up to serve with World Servants, World Servants will host the cost of a domestic trip and the travel cost to get there (up to $500.00).
- For each Ambassador who fulfills the contract, and 50 Full Paying Participants sign up to serve with World Servants, World Servants will host the cost of an international trip and the travel cost to get there (up to $500.00) OR
- World Servants will host the Ambassador and another person on a domestic trip plus $500.00 toward travel expenses.
- In order to work towards these incentives, each Ambassador will be assigned a reference code. The new trip participant should write this code in on the upper right hand corner of the trip application form. This will aid in tracking participants for the Ambassador. In addition, the Ambassador Program Coordinator should be notified of the communication process/presentation before participants and/or a group signs up to serve with World Servants.
- World Servants will provide for each Ambassador:
- World Servants informational flyers, brochures, posters and other helpful promotional items
- World Servants ‘presentation script’ and FAQ sheet
- PowerPoint presentation about World Servants mission trips
- Step by Step instructions on how to be an effective Ambassador
- Plan of Action and Follow up Response forms
- World Servants thank you notes and business cards
- Periodic regional training opportunities; hotel, meals and training paid by World Servants, transportation is the responsibility of the Ambassador.
